If you had the choice to each lunch tomorrow, or give your meal to a child on the other side of the world who hasn’t eaten in days, what would you do? For most of you it wouldn’t even be a thought. Even though you’d feel hungry, you’d give up your food in a heartbeat to know it fed someone who genuinely needed it.

But that’s impossible right?

We invite you to join us for The 30 Hour Famine:

Think that you not eating for 30 hours could inspire the people in your life to do something about global starvation? Ready to serve people in your own community and live for something bigger than you?

3 specific ways you can join the 30 Hour Famine:

1. Join our 30 Hour Famine at Fairview Gospel Church this weekend! If you are in the North Jersey/New York City area, we’d love to have you join us! Check out the Facebook invitation HERE.

2. Help set up your own 30 Hour Famine with your church, group, or family. Visit to set up your own weekend!

3. Educate yourself and others on the staggering facts on world hunger.

-Spread the word by sharing the 30 hour Famine video everywhere!

-Read the sobering statistics on world hunger on HERE.

James, the half brother of Jesus, said it well:

“If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled,’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?” James 2:15-16 ESV

Jesus gave up the glories of heaven to go to a cross to save our souls. Thank God that we can give up our small comforts to save lives around the world!

What a great way to raise awareness not just through hearing about the problem but more importantly feeling it as well and imagining having to live like that for not just 30 hours or 30 days but entire lives.

God Bless you guys and everyone who takes part.
